The Little Mermaid on Ice

The Gardens Figure Skating Club is excited to present its much anticipated Spring Show, The Little Mermaid on Ice.  Amateur shows showcase the talents of its members for an audience that can include family, friends, and members of the community.  In skating shows, skaters enjoy and explore skating’s theatrical components.  For most, skating under spotlights in special costumes in front of scenery exploring movement to a theme is a much-anticipated and enjoyed experience

There is a place in amateur skating shows for everyone.  Unlike professional shows where casting is done in accordance with the needs of the show, amateur shows can showcase all their members with appropriate costumes, music and choreography.   Club skating shows breed a deep sense of belonging because skaters co-operate in portraying the main theme.  This can promote a great sense of camaraderie.
